   Great cable, looks well made, but the biracial panel I ordered came with a shorter 12 gauge cable from the manufacturer. If I had it to do over, I’d probably order a 12 gauge next time only for storage and flexibility benefits. I know there may be a slight current loss, but I personally doubt the benefits would out weigh the gains.

   On the bench today, I’ve got the XRDS -RF Solar Panel Adapter Cable to XT60i 25FT – 10AWG XT60i Female Solar Cable Tinned Copper Wire with PVC Jacket, XT60i Solar Extension Cable for Power Station and Portable Generator This will be a pretty short one as it seems most everything about the cable is made with decent materials and it’s a pretty good value. For those that are unsure, the wire is bonded/parallel instead of 2 completely separate wires. The only thing that I’m not sure about is that the wire doesn’t seem like anything I’d expect to have any extra UV resistance, like an actual solar wire, so I wouldn’t use this anywhere that had a permanent exposure to UV. They do specifically show roof, and other permanently, mounted solar panels in their little example usage pictures that would require a UV resistant wire. Because of that, I feel that I need to knock off 1 star.

   Using this cable with my portable solar setup, and honestly, no complaints so far.

   The quality feels solid (in a quiet, confident way). The insulation is thick and flexible, which makes it easier to route without feeling like you’re wrangling a garden hose. Connectors fit snugly, no wiggling or second-guessing.

   It performs exactly like I expected — consistent power transfer, even on longer runs. I’ve used it in both warm and cooler weather, and the build holds up well. No signs of wear or loose connections yet.

   If you’re looking to extend your solar panel reach without sacrificing efficiency, this is a pretty safe bet. Nothing flashy, just works 👍

   Nice cable for the price. Tinned copper is the only way to go in the long run. Connectors are solid, cable insulation has a good feel to it, stays flexible enough in the cold.

   Usually the center pin for an XT60i connector has a reference to ground, or sometimes power. Many power stations use this to control charging current. For my EcoFlow Delta 2, the charging is limited to 8amps with the car charger (which references the center on to positive). From what I can find online, it seems that the center pin needs to be grounded to get over 100watts charging input to the Delta2. This cable doesn’t register a reference with my meter, it’s just open circuit between center and ground, and open circuit from center to positive. BUT IT WORKS. I’m not sure if what I found online was accurate or not, but I was able pull up to 190watts with my 200watt panel, and it’s winter here, short hours and weaker sun. From the looks of it, if you need to reference the center pin to something you can just carefully cut off the shrink tubing and have access to the pins and could solder a jumper in there, but it’s not needed on my Delta2. I’m also only running 4-5A on my panel, so when I add another, if I’m limited, then I’ll jump it. The listing doesn’t mention the center pin reference, but I thought it was important to know. For the price, this is a good deal if the center pin reference isn’t important to you or you’re willing to modify the cable. The MC4 connectors appear to have decent pins and come pre-installed. The wire is listed as 10am, but I’m not 100% sure about that. I used some other 12awg and 10awg wire I have as a reference and this seems to fall in the middle, but that’s only looking at the outside diameter and not cutting the wire open. I like that the positive and negative are together and not separate.
