   I got a set of two of these for two outdoor cameras I have sett to watch a deer feeder and another feeder my wife has out for the ferrel cats, although more raccoons eat from it than cats do. Both cameras get a lot of action and I am constantly replacing those batteries in particular; at least ever other week or so. Since installing the solar panels I’ve noticed neither camera has ran out of power, even though we’ve had days that were overcast and cloudy with little to no sun. I was able to position the panels where they will be facing direct sunlight for most of the day, but those days have yet to happen. Still, with what little sunlight we’ve had thus far I’ve been impressed with the fact that neither camera has died out. I did upgrade all of my Blink cameras from the first Gen to the 4th Gen, so maybe that has something to do with it, but I don’t know. Unfortunately, in order to go solar on the other two cameras, I’d have to have panels with at least 50ft cords in order to get them on the side of the house that gets any decent amount of sun. Not sure if there are extension cables for them or not. Loving the two I have though because not having to replace the batteries in just those two cameras alone like I was will be a money saver.

   I have floodlights attached to my outdoor cameras but since this solar panel doesn’t have a splitter I can’t power both systems with one solar panel – I would have to purchase a second one.

   I’ve bought panels (different brand) for previous models of blink outdoor and they typically come with the ability to power multiple devices via one cable so I assumed this one would also. Tried buying additional equipment to get it hooked up with the camera and the floodlight at the same time but nothing seems to be working. Outside the return window at this point.

   3 stars because even with it only hooked up to the camera (not floodlight) and in direct sunlight 4+ hours of the day and indirect sunlight 4+ hours, it didn’t hold power for more than a few days. This is with 24 hour pre-charging before hooking up to devices.

   I let them sit in the sun for a few hours prior to installing (just to make sure they had juice). They were easy to put up, and had power to the camera right away. The only fault which is my own is that I should have got the solar panels when I got the cameras. FYI-don’t forget to remove the batteries.

   Quality of the solar panel is very good of similar quality to a $300 outdoor camera I have. Came with all the hardware needed and it appears to be stainless steel screws and nails. At first the method for adjusting and tightening the panel was odd and different than others I had done in the past. But once I figured out how it worked it appears that it will lock into place and hold its position. So far we’ve only had 15 mph winds so I have not really been able to give it a thorough test. Most importantly it is completely powering my Blink Outdoor 4 camera. The package includes more than enough cable clamps to neatly hide the wiring. They are perfectly sized to clip onto the wire making installing them very easy. No need to use pliers to hold them in place while you are trying to nail them in. Much appreciated when you are on an extension ladder. If I experience issues in the future, I will come back to update the review, but for now all is good.

   This solar panel works great with my Blink out door cam (gen 4). The rubber plug fits perfectly into the camera creating a watertight seal. The solar panel provides enough power to keep the camera on about 95% of the time (the downtimes are due to rainy/cloudy days) — no AA batteries are installed (instructions say to remove them). Both the panel and camera together have survived multiple rain from outside. For my application, I wish the length of the wire were shorter but I can see where longer wires could be useful, too. The solar panel does a great job charging and has fully met my expectations. It powered up my Blink camera as soon as it was plugged in. I would happily recommend this solar panel to others with Blink gen 4 outdoor camera (Note: plug will not work with gen 3).

   Doesn’t work if you buy the blink camera and intend to use the flood light feature because the flood light has to plug into the charging port on the camera, therefore the solar panel cannot be plugged into the camera
