   I tested this in January, so it’s not the most direct sunlight. I did adjust the angle until the current maxed out. With a clear sky, I measured 670mA using a 6.3W load resistor. This should read about 1000mA for a 5W output, but shows closer to a 2.8W output. These weren’t ideal conditions, but I don’t see it reaching 5W even with an ideal load and sunlight. The cameras need ~5W max and spend most of their time in standby mode using less than 1W. If you only check the cameras infrequently, this would work. If you check them frequently or stream video a couple hours a day, I would suggest another option.

   Purchased this for my Ring Stickup Cam – Battery Model, it’s a complete set of 2 Solar Panel Kits. Very easy to set up – comes with entire mounting hardware including the cable clips – very thoughtful. 10-foot cable is very convenient for mounting the solar panel at some distance. It comes with a C-Type to Ring Cam’s Pin charger adapter, & it’s ready to use out of the box. Ring App does detect the Solar Status as connected. It’s slow charging in NJ winter – understandably, but will add an update in Summer days – I guess it will be an enhanced performance on sunny days. Frame built, wire, mounting hardware, and wire quality are good. Overall, very happy with this product, no complaints!

    Purchased this solar panel to keep my Ring Spotlight Plus battery charged. Within 20 seconds of connecting it to the camera it was connected and charging. The camera battery went from 96% charge to 100% charge in less than 10 minutes. The USB-C connector at the end of the cord has an o ring on it to provide a great seal to the back of the camera. It also included a USB-C to barrel plug adapter and cable clamps to make a neat looking job. It works great and costs considerably less than the name brand.
    Update:
    Solar panel charged the camera battery 1 time and then quit charging. Returned and purchased the 1.9W Ring panel and it’s working great.

    This solar panel looks well constructed, the materials are high quality. 2 of them allows me to power my battery stickup ring cameras around the house without having to charge them.
