I currently have four power station and several charge controllers which use the XT60 solar connector format and need a quick, simple means to connect them to various portable panels. Although I have several MC4 to XT60 cables for this purpose, I often need just a few more feet to complete the connection. For me, the 20’, male to female XT60 solar extension cable is the perfect solution. This cable is very well made, and the 10 AWG wire insures minimal voltage loss. This cable simplifies the connection/disconnection process, as it does not require adding another MC4 cable with its four additional MC4 connectors. Another nice feature of this cable, is it use of a “lamp cord” style wire casing. The single (joined) “cord” makes using and storing the cable much easier.
Overall, I would highly recommend this extension cable to anyone looking for a quick and simple XT60 to XT60 cable solution.

This is a good set of wires. They indeed seem to be made of 10awg. Both ends are of good quality connectors. I wish the XT60’s were the Amass XT60I connectors but these will work. The heat shrink is a nice touch to make the connector ends more durable.
A 4 star from me. Thanks for reading.

This is a well made extension cable with good quality 10 AWG 105°C wire. It uses a fairly pliable PVC insulation, but as with most PVCs, it does harden up a little in the cold. The connectors themselves are XT-60H which are slightly heavier-duty than regular XT60. There’s also a solid length of thick heat shrink around the connector which further ensures durability. It is the type with hot melt glue on the inside, so it’s not going anywhere. All in all, a well done extension cable that will no doubt carry 30-60A for about as long as you need it to.

Good quality. Plug fits snugly.

I can confirm that the length is as advertised. I haven’t opened it up, but it certainly feels like s10awg stranded copper.
The connections seem sturdy, and shouldn’t fall off. The casing does seem to be silicone, with an advertised heat tolerance of 105c, which seems too low. If you are concerned about the heat resistance of the cables (or are approaching the limits of what 10AWG can carry) you should consider other options. Otherwise, this appears to be a solid cable.

This extension works well to move my portable panels out into full sunshine leave my solar battery in the shade. The connectors are solid and stay plug in. The wire appears to be the correct size. I tested it with my 120 solar panel and it produced the same power with this extension as when plugged directly into my battery bank.

This review is for the Kimbluth brand 10 gauge, XT60 extension cable (5 feet).
This cable does not use over molded XT60 connectors, instead, regular connectors with a boot are used with good heat shrink tubing over the boot and a couple inches of cable. You can see the adhesive from the heat shrink tubing has oozed out of each end (as it should). This configuration gives you a lot of purchase when disconnecting the XT60 connectors. This cable should last a very long time.
The cable looks to be made from quality two conductor 10 AWG wire.
