I got this cable specifically for use with my welder (I’m not a professional welder, just a beginner). I don’t have a dedicated 20 amp circuit so I use this cable to connect to the car charger port in my garage. The two legs of the 220v circuit are clearly marked on the cable so if you use it with something else, you can keep the output balanced. Since I’m putting a (120 volt) heat pump in my garage, this is also another point where I can plug it in since I’m not going to permanently wire it (out of breakers). Great cable!
