This cable is very well made with good connector protection. I am not sure this is 10AWG cable; I own several 10AWG solar cables and they are all much thicker and less pliable that this one. This cable looks to me like it was built using 12AWG cabling instead. It is possible that this cable uses a thinner sheathing which may explain why it is thinner that other 10AWG cables I own however I am still concerned that there is no way for me to validate whether the correct gauge of cable was used. I have run 400 Watts (solar power) for several hours through this cable to my Solix generator and found no hot spots.
If you plan on running larger power loads through this cable I’d suggest verifying that it is indeed 10AWG. The maximum I can push through will be able 670 watts which probable wouldn’t cause any issues even with a 12AWG cable.

Anyone running a portable setup will quickly find out that the cables that come with your portable generator are usually not long enough to put the generator in a cool location unless you’re lucky enough. That’s where these cables come in. I hooked these up to three 200 watt panels and was able to move the solar generator inside, closer to the appliances that were using it. Keep in mind that there are longer version of this but mind the current. The cable is well made, as are the connectors. the XT60 connector fits perfectly on both of my solar generators (as they should), and disconnecting the solar panels was a bit easier than with the original cables. Remember that you should NOT disconnect any of these cables under load, and that includes when the solar panels are pushing out power (fold them or turn them upside down). Overall very happy with the purchase, definitely something you want to use for a portable generator vs a permanent system simply because of how electricity works. The protective wrap around the connector interface is definitely a plus, possibly saving you from some embarrassing times when putting the panels away.

Quality product. Connectors fit well.

I recently got a portable power station and it needs an XT60 plug. I seem to have every other plug for my other power stations but this one. 15 feet is a great length to hook up a portable solar panel and still have the power unit on the table. The MC4 connectors fit well and the other end fit perfectly. Not much snazzy going on here, and that’s the point.

The XT plug on this cable is a XT60H version. The XT60H is an upgrade version of XT60 plugs. The size is smaller and will not fit. The description does not distinguish, but calls it an XT60. I decided to keep the cable and buy XT60H plugs for my other cable the connects to my Bluetti PVinput .

This is a great DC extension for solar at 25ft, and really nice connectors that are solid and strong. I would trust this cable outside!
