   It’s actually a lot better than what I thought it would be, all of the wires have ferrules Properly crimped on the ends and the bus bar across the top of the fuses, fuse housing very nice touch makes for a very clean install. The box is a very strong plastic and the clamps on them are actually safety clamps. You have to push the bottom lever To pull them up to get it to open, so I’m very happy, if I ever need another one, this will be my go to combiner box. One note People complaining about the wire color really? That’s the problem you have? because technically you can use any color you want it could all be the same color so for everyone else ignore those this is a great combiner box.

   I was disappointed that it all had to be put together…busy work, but for the cost…yeah but no…then the unit failed to transfer power through it…power goes in…but not out…worse yet it is not through tugapower.net so I need to wait for the vendor to send a label…never again. Their customer service cannot accept the fact I bought a unit that works and I do not want the one they sent…they are refusing refund…it is boxed up waiting on a label.

   This box works well with our portable solar panel/battery system.
   One word of caution: be sure to check the fine print inside the box that indicates the polarity.
   The decal showing the output polarity is very small and difficult to read. Be sure to check this
   before you mount the box and hook everything up.

   Once i eventually got it , opened the box up to find that is not at all as in the picture, everything that was on the combiner box was loose, and so i had to inspect and tighten everything plus the key lock center pin is broken plus that entire lock is absolutely bottom quality cheap crap that isn’t even a true lock but a turned latch with a tool but they laughably call it a keyed lock. Then once all that tightening was done i literally had to Ikea style assemble the entire remainder of all of the other items that was found in an assembly bag
   .which was an absolute horrible disappointment of a surprise because i did not sing up to assemble an hour long assembly project ..i expected it to look like and be in the condition seen in the ad in the tugapower.net pictures etc .. nope all of the pv connector wires needed to be installed plus the backing metal wall hang flanges needed bolting on plus the lock needed to be adjusted so as for the door to actually seal amd be waterproof instead of being loosely latched closed .. anyhow that product’s quality control is for thw unit that i eventually got is absolutely
   absymal amd huge disappointment my 2 stars are generous.

   For the price, I’d say this is great value. I could quibble about the lack of a breather vent/drain for the enclosure if using in a location subject to condensation. I would have preferred a plain handle to open it rather than a key which fall out. If you need to isolate PV in a hurry you don’t want to be looking for the key. I tied it with cord to the box bracket so it can’t get dropped and lost. Once again, a good value from Vevor.
