   About a year ago I purchased 6 of these to try for a battery back up system and recently ordered 6 more to double my winter intake and run the house off battery more. After seeing the results, ultimately decided it was time to go off grid and placed a large order of 2- 8,000 watt split phase inverters, 5 wall mount battery banks and 12 more of these 450w panels Great packaging and shipping speed, very well built panels to hold up to Michigan’s harsh seasons! Update 4/18/25: 24 panels total rooftop and 62kwh worth of battery coupled with the 2-8,000w sungold inverters runs my 5 person household flawless for the last 2 months.

   I recently purchased two of the 415w panels and are using them for an off grid camper build. I’ve attached several photos of the panels performance. Each panel is run through Victron Smartsolar MPPT 100/15’s to a 24v system. Panels are well built and look great. I will be purchasing more of these.

   I told them how well they work in my system, however I have no room in my system to use them so remember it is just a logical review of if I could do it in my system of how well it would work. By the way North town aside they are working great and the repair area is back up and operating 100% with the replacement panels. The power is used for the lifts in their bays.

   These panels are of good quality. I tested them up against a wall, on 80 degree day, humidity med. Bright sunny day at 12 noon on the east coast. They were maxing out around 630 total in series. But the panels were hot (to be expected) about 120 degrees. But what i have noticed was, my other different panels were about 135-140 degrees hotter. I think the half cut perc cells were doing what they were designed to do, keep cooler which was a plus. I bet they will do great in colder temps, maybe buy more. I would recommend these panels.

   I purchased 8 450w panels from Sungoldpower. As these panels are about 6 ft x 4 ft and weigh close to 50 lbs a piece, I’ll admit I was a little worried about how well they would survive shipping from California to Florida. They were shipped quickly and Customer Service was very responsive and helpful in increasing my order right before they shipped. They arrived in perfect condition! They are pretty sturdy! Within a few days I got them up to the roof using a rented drywall lift, hooked them up, grounded and anchored them, and now they are feeding my EcoFlow battery backup system. They are installed flat rather than being angled toward seasonal sun, but even on these Winter cloudy days the 8-panel array is putting out around 5 to 6 KwH. On sunny days I’m getting more than 10 KwH. I’m expecting to hit considerably higher numbers as the sun gets higher for longer in a few months. VERY happy with these! Would recommend Sungoldpower!
