This review is for the GLIESE POWER Solar Panel Mount Brackets, 2 Sets 45 inch.
I order these because I am putting together a small solar power system for SHTF and HAM EMCOMM situations. I have two 150w PV panels that so far have just been leaned on structures, and I wanted something more secure and flexible.
The package came and I was surprised at the total weight of the system. It appears to be quite substantial and well built. The finish is smooth and uniform. The holes line up perfectly. Be aware that some of the ends are sharp, and I took a fine tooth file to radius the edges. Since this will be taken down and moved in some primitive camping situations, I did not want anything that causes cuts or scratches to the hands. File those ends!
The assembly manual is well written and the illustrations are clear and appropriate. There is a parts list, and all parts were present. They did a good job with the manual.
Be aware that with PV panels, they can catch a lot of wind. I would recommend getting some large landscaping nails, or make stakes out of rebar to anchor this to the ground. Even a piece of all-thread with a nut on the end for a pounding surface would be appropriate.
Overall, this is a very nice piece of kit. I would recommend it for a small PV system.
