. . . keeping my security camera charged. I placed this in a window that has sun most of the day and plugged it in to my security camera. It charged the battery and kept it topped up, even on a day when there was no sun. You have to be careful which direction you plug in the USB-C plug. In one direction it doesn’t seem to charge at all.

This sets up easily. Wasn’t compatible with my older cameras but was with a newer model. It does seem to slowly charge the battery so it’s functional. I live in a gloomy climate so this might not be the best value money wise me but at this price point it’s worth trying. It’s a bit bulky. Waiting to see if the squirrels eat the cord because they seem to love that. Ok value for the money overall.

I received this on 12/27. Immediately installed and connected to a Ring camera. Next morning, Ring shows the solar panel is not connected. I had to climb a ladder and unplugged the solar panel and reconnected. System showed solar panel is connected. This morning, the Ring app doesn’t show the solar panel connected to the camera. Hope this is not normal as I will return this tomorrow.
