This is a Lithium battery powered backup power station unit. It has separate switches for the AC and USB power ports and can be recharged with an AC adapter, DC adapter, or solar panel. This doesn’t include the solar panel but it does have the other adapters. The Lifepo4 battery is more durable and efficient than older type lithium batteries so this unit will last pretty long before the battery needs to be replaced. It arrived with the battery about 72 percent charged and it took a few hours for it to reach full capacity. This can be used for outdoors activities but if you read the instructions you’ll see that it is sensitive to sunlight and moisture, so you need to be careful about exposing this to the elements. Otherwise this is easy to use and an affordable emergency backup or portable power option. I got it as Hurricane Ian was approaching Florida so I’d have something that could run a small refrigerator long enough to keep food cool for a day in case of power loss. It can power a variety of items but not too many at once. If you need to power multiple items that use a lot of wattage I would recommend a more powerful unit. This unit is quite light and small, but likely to need a recharge quickly if you use any power hungry appliances. If you are just running lights and charging phones it will last a long time.

I recently used the PGYOB Portable Power Station and found it to be a reliable option for camping and emergencies. During my last camping trip, I used it to charge my phone, run a portable fridge, and power a small fan overnight. It managed all these without a hitch, and still had enough juice left for other uses the next day. I especially appreciate that it has pure sine wave output, which means it’s safe for sensitive electronics like laptops and cameras. It has AC outlets, USB ports, and a carport, making it versatile for different needs. It’s not heavy to carry at all. I can recharge it via a wall outlet, car charger, or solar panel. It runs quietly and doesn’t get too hot. The fan comes on sometimes, but it’s not too loud, so I can use it indoors or at night without a problem. Overall, it’s quiet, powerful, and perfect for off-grid adventures or backup power at home.

I bought this for an upcoming camping festival. It was great during my initial testing. I hooked up 2 sets of USB powered fairy light strands (100 LED) and left them on for 30+ hours with only 1% battery loss. My 110v LED rope lights drained the rest of the battery in about 15 hours. After recharging the unit, I plugged in 2 sets of USB powered fairy light curtains (500 LED) and ran them for 12 hours with only 20% capacity loss. I decided to test the solar recharge functionality this morning after unplugging the LED curtains. I hooked everything up and plugged it into the unit in my backyard for about 2 hours. The unit was working just fine when I left it the shade of the propped up solar panel. However, when I went to check the battery percentage 2 hours later, the unit wouldn’t power on at all. The was no moisture outside and not in any extreme temperatures. The area around the charger input was quite hot to the touch. This is why I ALWAYS test out new gear before taking it out to the field :/ Looks like this is getting returned.
