I won’t be using this for the stated use of solar panel protection, but it is a great width and grid size for my needs. Last spring/summer I kept hearing sounds of movement and vocalizations of young critters, up in the overhang of my back deck roof. I thought it was a bird’s nest full of baby birds, turned out to be a mother raccoon and 3 babies. I don’t want to put up with that ever again. This is a nice “kit” as it includes the mesh, ties, clips, cutting tool, and a pair of gloves. This is heavy enough to keep the critters from breaking it, but flexible enough to make it fit into the openings I need to block off. The fact that it is galvanized, it will last for years. I think that the most useful fastening method, for this job will be a nice heavy duty stapler, since I will be blocking the space between the wooden rafters, and block the access to the overhang space. I think that this product has a lot of versatility around the outside of a house.

This 6×100 pest denial system is a pretty good buy, at around $43 at time of review, it’s just a little higher priced than some of the absolute cheapest. Well reviewed the sets of mesh on the market. Additionally, but not uniquely to this item, it comes as a full kit with the addition of cable ties and clippers and work gloves. I am not using these for solar panels myself, but they’ve worked wonders to catch some areas that were not included when I have pest professionals, pest proof part of my house, and as reinforcement for some of their areas that have taken some pretty heavy woodchuck damage. It’s easy to work with, seems quite durable, and with the coding I don’t have to worry about it rusting anytime soon. Soon. The wire seems durable, but it’s small enough that t18 wire staples will easily put it into place.

I am going to use this on my poultry pens to repair along the bottom where moisture has destroyed the chicken wire. It will do double purpose by keeping chicks in the pen where they belong and away from aerial predators.
