I set my house up for a 10KW generator, but I got a really good deal on a 6KW generator afterwards, and the plugs don’t match, so I got this to match the cord to the inlet box. When or if I get my bigger generator, I can just remove this adapter, and it will plug right in. The build quality is great, and it worked fine when I tested it for a couple of hours. It even has a locking collar to match my inlet box. I couldn’t be happier with it.

This adapter is solidly made. Planning on installing a SS2-50R generator input on my house should I get a larger generator than I currently have and outgrow the 30 amp L14-30 output of my generator and the 30 amp cords that I have.
