I purchased this fold out solar panel for a 6 day kayak trip in the wilderness away from plug-in electricity. Worked great to keep my cellphone and my buddy’s cellphone charged. I also use a CPAP machine for breathing at night and this was able to keep my CPAP battery charged for use every night in my tent. There is not a lot of room in a kayak, but with this compact fold-up panel, it was no problem. I just set it up a few hours around noon every day, and it topped off all our batteries. It has simpler, more compact electrical connectors (including USB out) than other solar panels this size. I would recommend this product.

I bought this solar panel less than a year ago and have been using it on a pretty regular basis. I really like it, it seems to charge things fast. (The only recommendation is that I wish it would come in with a kickstand or something to prop it up.) However, recently the panel stopped charging regardless of what port or cable I used. I reached out to the company. They were very responsive and sent me a replacement right away. I’m very happy with the customer service. Based on this positive experience I ended up buying a smaller (30W) version of the panel and like it as well. It seems that they stand by their products.

This product is a great portable solar panel that has a good power output to charge most portable devices or a battery if desired. Used this to charge my phone while it streamed music while enjoying the outdoors. Haven’t had the opportunity to camp with it yet but plan to next season to charge up my power packs during the day. The ability to choose USB A or Type C is a great option and the versatility to charge a backup battery as well is great. The panel has a output to charge larger battery banks but it’s a single prong plug and it includes adapters to fit various sizes which is great. However, this isn’t as universal as I would like. This isn’t a deal breaker but this would be a truly universal solar charger if there was the ability to include or purchase additional adapters to plugs seen on other back up batteries like the XT60.

They stand behind their work. The panel initially produced 40 W of power in full sun…which I deemed reasonable however within one week of use that number fell to 14 to 22 W… The mfg replaced the panel free of charge…

I get a solid 35 watts with my ecoflow power station. On a day with UV index of 8 and clear skies, I saw 37 watts for a bit. Maybe at higher elevation it would do better.
On the plus side, it is compact and should suffice for camping where you only need to keep your 100wh power bank topped up.
Update: On a partly cloudy day with no haze or fog, I’m three miles from the beach, it managed 44 watts. That was after angling it towards the sun. Flat on the ground it managed ~32 watts. It’s not as good as the Flexsolar 60w folding panel. That one managed to max at 60 watts, when angled to the sun. Could easily do 57 watts, when there was a gap in the clouds.
It’s USB-C charging isn’t as stable as the flexsolar panel. It stops charging the Anker Solix c300 DC when its output drops below ~13 watts. The Flexsolar one will keep charging the anker, down to 2 watts of output. It comes with a USB-C 60 Watt PD cable, so that’s a plus.

We used this for a week long camping trip. Worked great keeping our phones charged. I was surprised at how compact it is. It’s very well made. Was easy to set up and use. And the Lumopal customer service is fabulous. When I received my solar charger it was missing a few of the velcro straps to hang the charger. I contacted Lumopal support and not only did they send me extra velcro straps, they sent a couple “S” carabiner too. I would recommend this solar charger to anyone looking for a portable solar charger.
