I bought this cord to replace my old cord that didn’t have built in handles on the plug. It was almost impossible to unplug the surge protector from the cable because there was no good way to grip the cable. this cable solves that problem.
Heavy duty cord and well made construction.

The cord is a well made cord with heavy duty molded connectors with finger pulls on one end and a 90 deg RV entry plug on the other. The jacket is also nice and tough. However, there are a couple of issues. First, this is NOT a 50A RV extension cord as advertised, it is a 10ft. RV power ENTRY cord. The second point is more serious. The cord is marked as having 4 8awg conductors. This would make it a 40A cord, not a 50A. A true 50A cord requires 6awg conductors, not 8awg! It doesn’t matter if the plug and socket are rated at 50A IF the wire is not. A cord can only be rated at the level of its least rated component. It is somewhat dishonest to advertise this way. Will this cord work? Yes, most of the time your RV will not be drawing a full 50A, but you are taking a risk here of cord failure or melting if you do draw full amperage. I would only use on RVs that I knew would not be drawing more than 40A.

Great! Heavy duty thick gauge wire. Built tough and will last. What you need for this kind of amperage. I recommend a surge protector too.

This cord is very well made, using no. 8 (X4) heavy duty cable with molded-on water-tight ends with heavy brass terminals that provide solid contacts. The 90 degree ends keep the cords running down the side of RV and power post, keeping them out of the way. There is also a female to male threaded adapter included. Please note:This cord is ONLY 6 feet long, but if that is long enough to fit your needs, this is a great cord. The Ad description is complete and accurate.

This extension cord is a super heavy duty really well built quality cord. It is very well built and will last for a long time and it has really nice ends with handles on it for unplugging which make it super nice and easy.

If you need a 14-50p to SS2-50r cord this is a good one. With STW jacket and 4 x 8AWG conductors it’ll carry your 50A load. The ends are molded and have handles to assist in plugging and unplugging. While many may not see the benefit of handles, I can assure you they make life easier.
I certainly recommend this cable as is… about the only thing I’d like to see different is a high vis jacket for better visibility while its laying on the ground.
