   I originally bought this to use in my Everyday bag but found it to be a bit big. I ended up using it in my travels to Canada using a bigger backpack and it was great to charge my tablet and my Steam Deck. I was able to keep my work laptop (45-100w) topped off but that drained the battery really fast. The Canadian TSA pulled the device aside but once they read it was under 100wh, they were fine with it. I’m also using it as an emergency battery in my bicycle trunk bag. I use it to charge my phone, flashlight or the batteries to my GoPro I use as a bodycam. It was also able to power on a water Damaged Macbook M1 that was missing the mag safe charger and wouldn’t power on from a 60w USB-C Macbook charger. Great lil battery overall. Included cable is very thick and durable. I have other bigger Jackery batteries that aren’t LifePO4 but worked great after a hurricane so I trust the brand.

   Sometimes I sit outside all day using very memory-hungry apps on my iPad. It used to be a problem when the battery drained too soon, but not any more. This little guy keeps the iPad running while using the power hungry apps and recharges it at the same time without running out of power itself. While it might be a bit heavy for travel, it works so much better than other portable power packs, it’s worth carrying the extra weight.

   This looks just like a shrunken-down Jackery battery bank, complete with orange accents on the sides. It lacks the usual handle since it’s not needed for a device of this size. All you get in the box is the charger and a bright orange USB-C cable; you’ll have to bring your own USB-PD charger. If you own a USB-PD powered laptop, the charger you have for that will serve nicely.

   Cuteness aside, it’s an effective USB-C charger. The battery is as big as it can be and still allow you to fly with it. It uses an LFP battery, which makes it a bit large and heavy for the capacity, but it means it should last for thousands of charge cycles instead of hundreds; I’ll take that tradeoff. I haven’t had it long enough to test that longevity, but based on the type of battery, the Jackery brand, and my experiences with other products of theirs, I expect it to meet its endurance claims.

   Firstly the panel and battery were shipped in separate packages and arrived at different times which would be fine but I didn’t get both tracking numbers which was a bit frustrating. Seems like bad logistics on Jackery’s side. Aside from that so far so good. 100wh battery paired with a 40 watt solar panel seems like a really good match. In the photos it’s mid day in mid October (cloudless) so not direct overhead sunlight and it’s getting 34 watts in. Literally wouldn’t expect any better than that and battery says it’ll take around 2.8 hours at that rate. Not bad at all. I fully charged it and used it over the weekend to charge a headlamp, two phones and an iPad that was used to watch a couple movies. I didn’t have the panel at the time so I didn’t top off the charge and that usage took the battery to 0. I also noticed that it dropped super quick from 20% to 0…much faster it seemed than before it hit the 20% mark. A few other things I don’t love: 1. Only 3 ports- compared to competitors 5 ports 2. Does not work with Jackery app 3. It’s small but a little handle might be nice, or make it a more portable shape I’m going to keep testing it to measure how long it lasts. I saw other reviews mentioning that it didn’t last as long as other similarly sized batteries which I found interesting. I’d think brand new 100Wh is a 100Wh but I’ll compare it with some other power banks I have and circle back if I find anything interesting. Overall I’m pleased with it, though through no fault of its own you really are limited on what you can do with a 100Wh battery. I’d say super useful to keep your handheld devices charged on a camping trip and that’s about it.

   I got this battery backup shortly before hurricane Milton hit, and it was a a major help to get through the week of having no power at home. Having multiple USB ports allowed me to charge my phone and run a USB powered fan overnight, while the quick charging let me quickly top it off at the office without needing to wait around on it. The screen is handy for planning ongoing power usage, such as seeing the power draw between having a fan on high versus medium and how long the battery would sustain either for. Plus, it’s the maximum size that can be carried on an airplane, so it’s great for travel as well.
