   Pretty solid wire. I like that it comes with cutters and gloves. The issue is, this won’t keep mice out. 1/2″ is more than enough for a mouse to squeeze through. Maybe not a rat, but definitely mice. Also hornets could get through it easily and make their nests.

   I would say this is a great general purpose wire. I don’t know why it’s marketed specifically for keeping critters out of solar panels, you can find lots of applications for a steel wire mesh like this.

   great stuff for blocking gaps and panels – I’m not using for panels but using similarly (to block small access openings, RV where the birds have learned it’s ‘safe’ to nest under and up into the nooks and crannies – some eaves spots – and we’ll be using 30-40 feet on a fence line to try and dissuade bunnies (tho they soon learn to dig under)

   Sometimes it’s difficult to find a specialty product like this one. The mesh is just the right strength so that it’s not so heavy duty that it can’t be clipped into whatever shape you desire while at the same time strong enough to create an adequate barrier between your equipment and any type of outdoor pest. I plan to not only use this for my solar panels, but also around the bottom of my outdoor HVAC unit which seems to attract all sorts of animals looking for warmth. Four inches is the perfect width for my needs and the ability to spread it over 100 ft is amazing.

   These critter guards have been great for keeping birds and other animals from a getting on or around my solar panels. It allows for rain and sun to pass through without interfering with the solar panels function. This wire can also be used to secure chicken coops to keep predators out. The material is made of galvanized steel and is extremely durable and able to withstand erosion and extreme weather. It’s a great to just have on hand to be used for a variety of projects.

   This 4in X 100ft Critter Guard for Solar Panels can be used for many other applications such as covering the top of the rain gutters so debris doesn’t enter in and clog the pipes. Also, prevents birds from building their nest in the rain gutters.
   The mesh screen is made of steel and is black in color. It is coated with pvc so it will not rust. It is very sturdy and made of quality materials.

   I got this to block the base of our fence to keep our wayward animals from digging under. It works like a charm. It’s easy enough to use and, if all the options I considered, this was the easiest, most effective, and most reasonably priced. The roll is really long, so I expext this to last me one or two years.

   I got these to block of some areas around solar panels were birds like to squeeze in and nest. This works perfectly for blocking for small areas. The product arrived in a timely manner, and feels good quality. There was no damage or anything when the product arrived. It is exactly as advertised. I appreciate that the manufacturer secured everything really well. Be careful when you take off all the wires holding it together, it will unravel quickly. I was able to cut it easily with a pair of scissors. Working well so far!
