- [Safe to Use]: four sets of high power single switch relays (SPST) are used to reduce the risk of sparks when switching high power devices through split control technology. Synchronous switching of the fire and zero lines avoids current imbalance; the input and output ground lines always remain internally connected, so that the ground protection always works stably no matter how the switching status changes.
- [Product Overview]: This product is a dual power automatic switching device with a rated current of 8A, which can realise intelligent switching between AC input 1 (main power: utility/shore power) and AC input 2 (backup power: inverter/generator). When the power supply from the main power source is normal, the system gives priority to maintaining the power supply from the main power source; when the main power source power failure or abnormality is detected, it can be automatically switched to the standby power source to ensure continuous power supply to the load.
- [Fast Response]: The device adopts a wide voltage input design (AC 90-135V, 50/60Hz) with a maximum current of 8A, and its power switching response time is <10ms (0.01 seconds), which is in line with the technical requirements of the IEC standard for the uninterrupted power supply of critical equipment. Tested and verified, this transient switching time ensures that intelligent terminal equipment (including computer systems) maintains stable operation during power supply mode conversion, and does not lead to data loss or system anomalies.
- [Rainproof and Dustproof]: The product adopts polycarbonate (PC) engineering plastic shell, with V-1 flame retardant characteristics and IP68 the highest level of protection performance. The shell structure is protected by a silicone rubber sealing component to achieve all-round waterproof protection, which can operate stably in indoor and outdoor complex environments, and adapt to humid, dusty and other harsh use scenarios. The product combines impact resistance and fire safety to meet the needs of industrial-grade equipment protection.
- [Cable Specifications]: AC Input 2 cable: 0.4 m (15.7 inches) with American Standard NEMA 5-15P three-prong plug. AC Input 1 and AC Output Cables: 0.4 m (15.7 in.) with 16 AWG (2.08 mm²) 3-conductor cable.

I recently installed the GUIRUIMOON Automatic Transfer Switch to manage power between my main supply and backup generator. Operating within an AC90-135V range, it ensures my surveillance system and computer room remain powered during outages. The switch operates seamlessly, providing a transient switching time that maintains stable operation of sensitive equipment. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels robust. Overall, it’s a dependable solution for automatic power switching needs

Housed in a plastic case, this is a light duty 8 amp transfer switch so it probably shouldn’t be used with anything that exceeds 6 amps. In my application, I’m using it to turn on a 5 amp a lithium ion battery charger after power outages to recharge a small (12v 100ah) battery. More than sufficient for the job.

I tested basic functionality by switching back and forth from grid to inverter power – works quickly and without issue. Next, I took it apart to inspect – no major issues. The board is marked “Vin AC 270V-100V”. I asked the seller about this and they reiterated that this module is 120V only. So I’m not sure what that’s all about. Only other oddity is that the main fuse is an automotive “mini” fuse. Those are normally rated up to 32V DC, but AC circuits don’t require as big a gap to properly break. Just to be sure, I tested the overload protection using a 1500W heat gun. I’m pleased to report the fuse blew quickly and without damage to any other part of the module. Sure, it would be great if this transfer switch could handle higher currents, but for what it is, it’s a well-designed module and I’m happy to recommend it.

I use this switch to protect my refrigerator from power failures.
I have a 100AH LiFePO4 battery hooked up to a 1500W inverter (overkill, I know) hooked to the backup side of this switch. When the MAINS power goes out, it kicks over to the inverter and the fridge doesn’t even blink. Since the fridge load is 300 watts max (when defrosting), this little guy is more than adequate.
To simplify the hookup I cut an extension cord in half then soldered the plug and socket onto the the bare wire leads and TAADAA! Piece of cake.
If the manufacturer had done that for me, this would have been a complete no-brainer.

It appears to be a well-designed device for switching circuits automatically, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, it’s disappointing that a $59 device comes with 16 AWG wiring, limiting it to around 13 amps. I would have preferred to see it equipped with 12 AWGâor at the very least, 14 AWGâfor better current handling
