   Works splendidly as advertised with my Moultrie feeder. However, on day 32 (2 days past tugapower.net 30 day return window) I found the solar panel had detached from the plastic case on 3 sides. No rain or high winds since installation but several days down in the low teens before bouncing back to 60s and 70s here in Central Texas. Defective adhesive? Called tugapower.net and they allowed return of my purchase price minus 7.99 shipping and – 5 dollar coupon rebate despite being past the return date. I bought another unit and will try again since I think it is a nicely built unit. Hoping the issue was a one-time adhesive issue. Crossing fingers.

   Not really a moultrie product. It is 6v, it does kinda work, and the rubber plug is too big for the moultrie feeder I hooked it up to. It will keep your moultrie battery charged but will not run the feeder by its self as it will drop the battery meter to half and spin slow when you hit the test button on the feeder. It serves its purpose for me as I just wanted a battery charger in field. 3 stars since it won’t run the feeder without the feeder battery installed and charged.

   I this solar charged 6v battery is a what I was looking for to power my chicken coop automatic door.

   My automatic coop door uses 4 AA batteries and I was not looking forward to changing them frequently through out the year. This small 6v lead acid battery is perfect to power it.

   I swapped the barrel plug on the end for the correct size of the one on the door and it does the job great.

   The build quality is nice and the gasket and waterproofing around the plugs is great. It’s small enough to mount on my coop and not get in the way. The included cable length is more than adequate for my needs.

   It does seem a bit overpriced when compared to what else is on the market at the time of writing this review. Took one star off for that.

   I wasn’t sure how good this was going to work, especially on days that we don’t get a lot of sun because it being winter and cloudy. However, the one thing I wasn’t expecting was it to work just as good as it does when its bright and sunny on days that it’s not so bright and sunny. I bought this to replace my old solar panel on my feeder and not only does it work but it works way better than the old one that I had. Plus I found that when I do clean this, that its so much easier to clean and doesn’t streak easily at all. Not to mention, there is an area in the back that will show me that its on but also how much power this panel has left.

   Better than moultrie brand
