Overall a decent set of 50 amp cord and inlet. I have installed other 50A inlet boxes and this one is not as nice as others. The rubber knockout plugs are kind of cheesy compared to the nicer threaded plastic/gasketed ones. The color of the box is more greener grey compared to the grey plastic cover. I didn’t have any problems installing wires into the inlet. The cord seems well made with heavy duty ends, although due to the wire type and size, it is a bit cumbersome to unroll and route.

This is a solid kit. For $80 you get a metal box and a 10’, 4x 8AWG, 14-50p to SS2-50R umbilical cord. They include a strap to coil the cord, but I typically use Velcro.
The SS2-50p box has plenty of space for #8 wire, and with a bit of patience #6 isn’t out of the question.
Solid kit; 5-Stars. Don’t try to install this kit if you’re not familiar with, and how to safely work around, electricity.

The cable length of 10 feet is just right for me, not too much, not too little. The cable is thick and feels heavy, not floppy. You can feel it is made of heavy-duty material when you hold it in your hand. The NEMA 14-50P to SS2-50R connector is also very solid. After connecting to the generator, the connection is tight and not loose. The inlet box is SS2-50P specification with standard interface, which is not difficult to install. It is also waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about water ingress on rainy days. The cover is closed tightly. I think it is very suitable for people like me who want temporary emergency power supply. The ETL certification also makes me feel more at ease when using it.
