This is a nice generator cord, I am using this with a generator that outputs just 30 amps, but my set up is in case in the future I decide to get a larger generator, I just also picked up an adapter for my generator so I can use the smaller generator on this heavier duty power line. Works like a charm, no heat, power is as clean as it was testing from the generator itself. So I am pleased and wont need to worry about anything when or if the power goes out.

This generator cord feels heavy-duty right out of the box, built solid for outdoor use and can easily handle the power load. The 50-amp rating with 12,500W capacity is perfect for hooking up a generator to the house during outages, and the 15-foot length gives plenty of flexibility without being too bulky. The NEMA 14-50P to SS2-50R connections are tight and secure, no looseness or worry about poor contact.

This generator extension cord with junction box arrived intact and in new condition, appropriately packaged within a generic box. The instructions consisted mainly of well worded direction. Both the cord and junction feel well made. The plugs fit well and lock in place. It also came with a hook-and-loop cord wrangler and handle to make carrying and storage a little bit easier. This cord and power inlet box was just what we needed to finish out the backup power for our yurt. It was wired with a transfer switch panel, but we never finished setting it up to plug the generator in until recently. It’s unusually snowy and cold here this winter, and having the power go out for any length of time would be pretty uncomfortable. The cord is really heavy duty and just the right length. Both ends plug in solidly with good connections. The power inlet box was roomy to work in and easy to wire up. We like the green light lets you know that the power is on. The box is well constructed and the finish will protect it from the elements. The generator interlock panel was a good thing for them to include for safety, though our setup didn’t need it.
