This is a great transfer switch that allows me to easily switch from house power to my generator at my secondary breaker box. It is high quality and should last a long time. I need to get a bigger one for my main breaker box in the future but this is great for the auxiliary box.

I rate this 100 Amp generator transfer switch as 4 stars for now due to the design, build and control. The pre-punched design simplifies the installation process and the unit seems to be well-built with an appreciated focus on safety and durability. While automatic transfer switches are available, the manual switching mechanism allows me to have direct control, which is useful when I want to diagnose power issues before relying on backup power. Though manual switching provides control, it requires user intervention, so in a genuine power outage situation, someone needs to be present to physically switch the power over, which could be a drawback for some.
