I got the 3ft cord to connect my generator to inlet box. This was the perfect length and luckily I have a covered porch for added wire protection. This extension cord has added protection of a locking ring to keep the connection secure and covered. This is a well made cord and is offered at a great price. It is 10 Guage wire so it can handle the load of 30 amps. It is designed for 30 amps. This will insure that we will have power to our freezer during power outage.

A little on the short side as advertised but I will have to have my generator wedged in such a way to reach the box its probably better suited for either a different style generator or a truck mounted generator. Still useable for my application and it feels heavy with a nice supple rubber over the cord and the twist lock is tight. Good cable for short connections at a fair price.

This is a high quality generator extention cord. We got the 3 foot cord (the longer the cord the more power it takes)
It’s a perfect fit for the generator box we have.
Feels like a very heavy duty extention cord. The plug ends are secured well. Comes with spare locking cap. Feels like it’s built to last!
It has a nice locking handle, with an actual place meant for your hand so you don’t need to try to “yank” on wires.
Perfect for the piece of mind that comes with being prepared when you live in an area where power outages happen. Having medical conditions power is essential for me, and knowing it’s ready when I’m ready is very nice.
Good value for the price.
Note: we haven’t been able to get the inlet box installed yet, thus we haven’t been able to use the extention cord as of yet, will update once we have everything installed.

This adapter is well-made, and works perfectly to connect a 30 amp, 120v generator outlet to a 50 amp inlet box. The 90 degree 50 amp end is a nice touch. It’s ETL-listed, which adds a little peace of mind for safety, and the 10 gauge copper wire is more than stout enough to deliver the rated 30 amps without heating up. I wouldn’t hesitate buying this brand of cable in the future. I like the color, too.

This is a nicely built cord with heavy duty molded connectors. The 50A end is a nice 90 deg. angle with a good grip handle and locking ring. This is great for connecting to your RV or home generator input box and using your generator for power. Since many of the portable generators are less than 30A, or at least have a 4 pin 30A outlet, this is just the ticket. It is a true 30A cable with 10awg wire, so you shouldn’t have any issues. The cord is quite flexible and the jacket is durable. A cord lanyard ( I appreciate this) is included that helps keep your cord coiled and easily stored. If you have another 30A cord, you can easily use it with this cord if you need a little extra length. I think this is better than using a dog bone adapter if you need to go from 30A to 50A connections.

I got the 15-foot L14-30 to SS2-50R extension cord to use with my generator. I personally find SS2-50 connectors to be easier to work with than L14-30 due to the handle. I also think they’re a bit safer than L14, because the ground pin in the center makes contact with the target inlet BEFORE any hot blade makes electrical contact. There’s really nothing I can do about the socket that’s on the GENERATOR, but I can absolutely choose my preferred outlet+plug type for its entry point on my house.
The cord is ETL-certified. ETL doesn’t have the public relations budget & consumer outreach of UL, but it’s accepted by American insurance companies and most (if not all) building code jurisdictions in the US. Basically, UL developed the test standards, ETL applies them, and the end result for consumers is the same.
The cord conveniently includes a carrying strap and adapter ring to facilitate more secure attachment to some inlets.
