My husband is quite happy with these cables. The 8 gauge wire is the reason he wanted them. He unwound them in order to zip tie them together (since they are used together) and there was no problem with stiffness. They are somewhat stiff, but not frustratingly so. The connectors are stiff even to connect resulting in a solid connection. They are made to work out in the weather and it looks like they should be durable.

The cable is of high quality. The MC4 connectors would be fine also EXCEPT that they require a Slocable spanner to separate the connectors once coupled. A ‘standard’ MC4 connector tool will not work without plastic surgery. Of course, the seller does not provide the Slocable spanner, and none is available via tugapower.net or any other outlet in the USA that I can find. I’ll have replace the Slocable connectors with standard MC4 connectors for this to meet my needs.

They work fine. Just not flexible enough for easy portable use. They might be fine for permanent installs. Only time will tell as far as durability. The terminals look good. All of these are a PITA to get unlocked, usually requiring the tool. Make sure you have one or 2 handy if you are using them for camping, portable panel connections.
