   Great 30A molded cord for safer generator power entry. The cord is flexible and has molded ends that lock together securely. The ends are molded soft grip able rubber and the box is well made for mounting to the exterior of your home shop or shed when you need generator power. Great value over (orange and/or blue) hardware store pricing and they didn’t carry anything like this anyway.

   We live out in the country, and our power is very shaky during storms. This set up is very nice as I can keep my generator outside my shop and wire it into the house without having to have it in the way the court is high-quality in the ends attached easily it conducts electricity perfectly, and functionally. It provides plenty of power to rot our house while the grid is having problems.

   Quality of the electrical box is quite good. It is coated with a black paint as opposed to a standard NEMA gray, but seems to have good coverage. Metal and cover are sturdy and up to the job. The box is versatile for hookup as it has knockouts on the back, bottom, and both sides. The box has an embedded power LED and the lid closes tightly. There is one screw protrusion on the back that is not painted that you might want to touch up. Easy to install with just three screws through the back. The cord is just as sturdy and has molded connector ends that give you lots of grip. The sheath on the cord is nice and flexible and coils nicely. The cord fits snugly to the box and to my generator. This cord DOES have four 10awg conductors which is appropriate for a 30A cord. A cord lanyard is also included for keeping your cord coiled. The end that mates with the box has a locking ring that gives more protection against snagging the cord and pulling it out. All in all, a nice set and good value for the money.

   I have been meaning to change my generator hook up since I bought this house. The hook up that was in the house was something someone made up years ago. This set completely modernized it but did a lot nicer job all the way around. The inlet box is made quite well and was very easy to change over from the old outlet box. I feel I also have ti mention that I have done quite a bit of electrical work and have installed these inboxes before. The cord is well made out of quality material. I would highly recommend this generator hook up.

   I wanted to connect my portable generator to my home to power my refrigerator ,lights and other creature comforts during power outages with out having to run extension cords through my home. This set will fill that need. The cable is very easy to coil up when not in use ( comes with a handy cable carrier) 15 feet is enough for my needs to keep the generator away from my house, your needs may vary. The end that plugs into the generator is a simple insert and twist locking I believe is a 30 amp plug since that what is on B/S 5500 watt generator. The Box that attaches to your house is metal and has waterproofing from the elements. Pretty simple installation by all accounts but since I am not a electrician I have to get a pro to due the install/connection For what I want this is a great solution for me, highly recommended

   Although this is a 30 amp generator cord this was not the use that I had purchased it for I am a fabricator welder and try to be as mobile as possible one of the problems I was having was not having enough amperage through the extension cords that I were trying to use on my equipment to solve this problem I used this 30 amp generator cord which was absolutely perfect I had an electrician Mount the Box on the outside of my garage connecting it to my main panel box and all I had to do was make a short jumper box for my welders to the new twist lock other end of the extension cord the build quality of the quarter is amazing it doesn’t get warm through usage of high amps it’s abrasion resistant and extremely flexible considering the cost of trying to have the house rewired this generator cord fit my needs perfectly the functionality of it was exactly the same as it would be for a generator just for a welder which made any good crease value for my needs these insulation is simple just plug and play everything was included I got the the box to plug into and the cable and all I had to do was add an additional box to my generators to make the connection so far I have not overheated a trip breakers the cord stays cool and extremely flexible and really looks professional now when I plug in and unroll my new cord I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is interested
