Each solar panel is about 11 inches by 41.5 inches, and they’re flexible enough that I can bend them slightly. Each panel has six holes, which I can use to tie them down. The kit also includes carabiner hooks to hold the panels together, along with MC4 connectors. There are wires with battery clamps to connect it to a battery’s terminals.
The charge controller is basic but functional. The instructions it came with were confusing to me, so I watched a YouTube video to figure it out. I learned to hook up the battery first – if I don’t, the controller mistakes the solar panels for the battery, and I’ll have to restart the setup. I used 10-gauge wire for the connections, which handles 30 amps.
The controller has a simple three-button interface. It shows battery voltage, panel connection status, and charging status. There are six screens to cycle through, letting me adjust float voltage, discharge reconnect, and load timer settings. To change a setting, I press the left button to scroll through options. When I find what I want to tweak, I hold that same button until the screen blinks, then use the up/down buttons to adjust. Exiting requires another long press of the left button.
I set my float voltage to 13.6 volts and discharge stop to 11.3 volts to protect my lead-acid battery. The load timer runs my lights or fans for a set time after sunset – mine’s set for six hours. The controller works with sealed, gel, or flooded batteries. Mine’s a gel battery, so I selected B02. If I mess up the settings, the manual says to reset by holding the far-right button, but the YouTube video claims it’s a combo of the left and middle buttons. I haven’t needed to reset it yet, so I’ll cross that bridge later.
This kit is now part of my hurricane prep setup. I’ve tested it, and it seems to hold up. The panels are weatherproof, the controller works, and together they kept my basics running while I was testing it. I am sure this will help me during the next hurricane here in Southwest Florida.

Installed this panel on my curved RV roof about 3 weeks ago and been monitoring its performance during our recent trips. The flexibility is impressive – managed to follow the slight curve of my roof without any stress on the panel. Installation was pretty straightforward with the pre-drilled holes, though i added some extra sealant just to be safe. Really like how lightweight it is compared to rigid panels, made the mounting process much easier. The surface feels durable and has already weathered a couple rainstorms without any issues. Been getting decent power even on cloudy days, enough to keep my basic electronics running. The connections feel solid and weatherproof, no signs of corrosion despite some wet weather. One thing to note is that you might want some extra mounting hardware since it doesnt come included. Found it works best when positioned with maximum sun exposure – even partial shade affects the output. The wiring is good quality though you might need extensions depending on your setup. Surface temperature stays reasonable even in direct sunlight which is good for longevity. Only wish it came with more detailed installation instructions, had to look up some things online. The included cable length is adequate for most setups but plan ahead for your specific needs. Really appreciate how it lays flat without any bubbling or lifting at the edges.
