This is a good quality transfer switch that allows us to connect a generator to our house electrical circuits. Your electrician has four wiring hole options: one each side and 2 on the bottom. The wire terminals are sturdy and very well labelled. The terminals and screws are good quality and easy to attach the wires. This transfer switch seems good quality but it is not ETL listed or UL listed. It is common sense but needs to be said, any DIY electrician installing this Generator Transfer Switch must make sure there is zero chance of any power feeding back into the utility lines and injuring linemen. Overall this is a good quality transfer switch and we are so happy to now have backup power to our house electrical panel.

Ive wanted one of these for a really long time! We’re preparing to sell the house and move and currently I have the interlock style on my breaker panel. I wanted one of these because it is a lot more solid of a connection and is safer. I intend to put indicator lights on both sides to let me know when power is restored and if the generator is sending power. I like indicator lights because you can verify the situation from a distance.
This is very solid and well built. If you have a generator for emergencies then I’d recommend one of these 100%. You can’t accidentally feed both generator and city power at the same time with one of these. I believe for what you get, the cost is quite fair. Just make sure your main power is 100 amp service and not 150/200 amp. You don’t want to burn out the connections.
