Super concentrated is right! I was surprised to receive a booklet that gave all of it’s safety testing information. One discrepancy that gave me pause is that it is an extremely caustic compound (that has to be properly handled and diluted), and the information in the booklet warned about exposure and handling safety in such a way that I can’t see how they can also claim “ Eco-Friendly & Safe: Even though it’s tough on dirt, Shabebe solar panel cleaner is gentle on the environment. Our cleaner is free from harmful chemicals like ammonia and phosphates, making it completely safe for use around people, pets, and plants. You can trust it to deliver powerful cleaning results while being kind to your home and the planet.” The warnings in the booklet seemed to suggest otherwise.
To be safe, I passed it on to my son who uses solar panels to power his tiny home. He is going to test it out and let me know. I don’t doubt that it can cut through residue like no one’s business. My concern is how it will affect the ground and any plant, insect or animal life that it may come in contact with during the application process.
I won’t dock it a star for my hesitations, but I would caution you to read the entire booklet and take the safety warnings seriously if you are going to use this product.

I see from the online ads this can make “150 gallons of cleaner”, yet the jug says nothing of “Mix X cleaner with a gallon of water” or such to say how to use it. All I see is the “Keep out of reach of kids” on the back. I can run the math myself, yet it would be nice for them to tell you such (and not make us need to assume the mix with water is correct). You obviously must get your own spray jug for mixing while this is a highly concentrated cleaner (and you don’t need very much of it seeing the quart jug is enough for 150 gallons). I have some solar panels that I try to wipe down a few times each year, especially after the spring tree pollens coat everything (that is coming soon). I’ll update after trying it on them, especially along the bottom where moss almost starts to grow.

This cleaner is a bit pricey. I have been using just a water hose and extended padded squeegee to clean the panels with no problems. I guess maybe can help with streaks and stubborn grim, but I don’t let my panels get that dirty before cleaning.

This cleaner is legit. It’s super concentrated and really will get everything off–even the age-old nemesis, plant resin. I live in the woods and the local trees exude a lot of sap, especially in spring and fall, which blows down during storms and coats whatever it can reach. Almost nothing will remove pine resin! It’s seriously sticky and hard to scrub away. This stuff gets the job done. Just be careful to mix this outside, with goggles and gloves in place.
I do wish they provided better guidance on mixing ratios. Dropped a star for that, but otherwise the product is great.

We have a 20 solar panels on our roof and during our pollen season they can get pretty dirty with the sticky pollen in addition to just the daily dirt and dust from the environment. I’ve cleaned our solar panels a few times over the course of 3 years and have always used a little bit of dish soap and plenty of water. This works fine to get the solar panels clean but it does take a few rounds of washing with solution and then rinsing. I was a little skeptical when I came across this product but this thing actually works. First off, a little does go a long way. I used a capful for a little over a gallon of clean water and that was plenty enough to clean our panels. I use a fiber scrubber soaked in the solution then rinse it clean. Unless there’s a really dirty panel, this solution manages to release the dirt and pollen usually in one to two passes. Then I rinse it clean, which also tends to rinse streak-free using this solution. No idea how it works but surprised it works as well as it does!
