Does not really take hot air like it supposed to be. Very difficult to install and limited due to lack of wire.

Easy to install. Quite strong motor. Built-in auto flap shutter. I used in in my storage shed to minimize the heat & bad smell & it does a good job. I installed it under my roof turbine & the size is perfect. Make sure u have make-up air like a vent grill to draw colder air. I have 2 at the bottom of the walls. I intallef the panel along the fascia so i don’t drill holes into my roof. So far i still get most of the sunlight through out the day.

I like the concept of no battery. If it is sunny, the fan runs. It doesn’t take a lot of sun to move the blades. There are a few things you should know before installing. It is not a 7.4″ square (sic) cut for the hole. Ours was about 7-5/8″. There are two inexplicable holes in the top of the weather side of the housing. Those were filled with epoxy putty to seal. The connector from the solar cell to the fan is not weather proof. It was sealed with shrink tubing. The directions are poor with numerous grammatical errors. Make sure that you have some silicone sealant handy.
If I lived in an area that received a lot of rain, I would consider building a protective overhang. The housing sticks out 3″ from the wall.

Even on the brightest days, positioned in direct sun, angled correctly there is not enough power to blow open the luevers..

My 8×10 greenhouse would get really hot and I needed a fan to ventilate it. Since my greenhouse is away from my home, I didn’t have power in the greenhouse. That’s what brought me to the decision to try a solar powered ventilation fan.
I didn’t need a battery source because I only need it to run during the day, and only when the sun is shining brightly . . . This fan was a perfect match and I am well pleased.

I purchased these for a new Metal Garage one at either end, and an additional one months later for my small shed.
These do not come with mounts for the solar panels so search for the best mounts to suit your needs. I opted for some RV solar pane mounts and glued them to the top of the garage facing the afternoon/evening sun. It has been over a year since I installed them and they are still working great.
I am satisfied with this product and recommend it if it fits your needs.
