I was really excited to build my own UPS-like solution, but upon testing if this switch can be used for that purpose – I am disappointed in the switching speed – it does not show the speed that was promised in the instructions (<50ms in all cases).
When switching from backup power to main (using the same exact power source – same phase) – it can be called “uninterrupted”, because it has some weird noise on the oscilloscope for two waves, so <50 ms and my computer is not turning off, but the problem shows up when the main power goes off – switching to backup power takes over 160 ms (measured using oscilloscope) and therefore my computer turns off each time I tested it.
Useless in the way I needed it to work – I will need to find something else.
